Discover Dragonback Estate:

Where Winemaking Excellence Comes to Life

Nestled in the foothills of the majestic Andes Mountains, Dragonback Estate spans 820 hectares of vineyards, making it the largest privately-owned vineyard estate in the world. In this privileged land, a perfect climate and rich soil combine to produce some of the finest grapes on the planet.

An Unmatched Terroir

The proximity to the mountains offers a unique thermal amplitude, where warm days and cool nights allow the grapes to develop an exceptional concentration of tannins. Here, red varieties like Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon reach their full potential, creating wines with great structure and elegance. The rocky and sandy terrain of Alto Agrelo, situated at 1,000 meters above sea level, is ideal for cultivating high-quality grapes.

Pure Water from the Andes

Water, a vital element for our vineyards, comes from underground aquifers fed by the Andean meltwaters. This pure water, drawn from depths of up to 220 meters, is not only perfect for irrigation but also suitable for human consumption.

Ideal Climate for Long-Lasting Wines

The region’s semi-arid climate, with cold winters and warm summers, creates the ideal conditions for crafting wines that age gracefully. The scarce rainfall and the influence of the Andes ensure an environment conducive to viticulture.
