A Meeting of Spirit and Flavor
The grape harvest is, above all, a story of encounters. Recently, at Barro Cocina, we experienced an evening that transcended gastronomy to become a ritual of gratitude and remembrance. As part of the “Texture in Hands” series, we had the honor of welcoming Vanina Chimeno, who joined our host, Diego Salvador, to create a unique dinner.
Amid wisps of smoke and the aroma of the vineyards, they designed a menu that highlighted the raw materials of our land and the artisanal work of the hands that transform them.
The perfect end to this season
The evening unfolded as the sun dipped behind the Cordón del Plata mountain range. It was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the season: a moment to inhabit the silence of the mountains, share a meal, and honor the legacy of signature cuisine in Mendoza.
